The PROXIMUS Group plans to expand the traditional building ensemble Hohenzollernring 79 – 87 by the stock property “CAPITOL” through a courtyard development. The planning of the hotel “CAPITOL” is a new construction of the four-star design hotel, which generates added value for the inner-city hotel market in Cologne through its central but yet quiet location within the quarter. Accessed via the Hohenzollerning, the new building offers a gross floor area of approx. 12,000 m² and a total of approx. 186 rooms over six floors. In the basement there will be an underground car park with around 78 parking spaces. PROXIMUS commissioned the renowned architectural firm ingenhoven architects from Düsseldorf to plan the 4,000 m² site.
